The course was created to strengthen understanding of how ageing is shaped by gender, disability, socio-economic status, displacement, ethnicity, and other intersecting factors. Through five interactive modules, learners explore the principles of intersectionality, inclusion, gender equality, and rights-based programming, while gaining practical skills to apply these approaches in humanitarian and development settings.
Available online through KayaConnect.org, the course is accessible to learners worldwide and supports organisations and individuals committed to ensuring that older people, in all their diversity, are included in decisions, policies, and programmes that affect their lives.

We transformed a facilitator-led Voice training programme into a scalable self-paced online course for the humanitarian sector. We reviewed and restructured the original training materials, created storyboards, designed the learning experience and visual, and developed the final course for implemented on KayaConnect.org.
The programme is organised into six interactive modules cover Voice foundations, social accountability, monitoring and evaluation, age-friendly communities, and healthy longevity, providing an accessible, learner-centred experience that retains the depth and impact of the original training.
Scam Awareness for Older Adults
This course was designed and delivered specifically for older adults. The course helps older learners to build-confidence by recognising common, digital, phone and in-person scams, understand how to stay safe online.
